Abstract
In the title compound, [W(C5H5N)(2)(CO)(4)], the W atom, on a crystall ographic twofold rotation axis, is coordinated in a distorted octahedr al geometry by four carbonyl ligands [W(1)-C(1) 1.956(3) and W(1)-C(2) 2.027(3) Angstrom] and two pyridine ligands [W(1)-N(1) 2.272(2) Angst rom]. The molecules are packed in layers parallel to (001).
