Abstract
This brief considers the open problem concerning the BIBO stability of mutually inverse 2-D digital filters in the presence of nonessential singularities of the second kind on T-2. Necessary and sufficient cond itions are obtained for the BIBO stability of mutually inverse pairs o f 2-D digital filters having such singularities on T-2. Several illust rative examples are considered.
