SYNTHETIC OF HETEROCOMBRETASTATINS, HETER OAROMATIC ANALOGS OF COMBRETASTATINS

We describe the preparation of heteroaromatic analogues of combretasta tins, which are natural products with structure of diphenylethanes. We have named heterocombretastatins those new analogs. Their synthesis h as been achieved by alkylation of 1,3-dithianes as the key step for th e construction of the carbon framework. By this methodology, we have o btained eleven compounds belonging to four different families.
