Abstract
The title compound, C21H14N4OS, was prepared from the reaction of 1H-b enzimidazol-2-ylthio)phenyl]-N'benzoylthiourea with dicyclohexylcarbod iimide. A puckered seven-membered ring and a short H ... H contact bet ween two rings cause the whole molecule to be non-coplanar, even thoug h the delocalized pi-bonding system is planar. There is an intramolecu lar hydrogen bond between the amine H atom and the O atom of the carbo nyl group.
