Abstract
In the title compound, bis(2-methylphenylamino)-(morpholino)methylium chloride hydrate, C19H24N3O+.- Cl-.H2O, the guanidinium moiety is prot onated; the three C-N bond lengths are therefore almost identical, Ste ric strain as a result of the bulky substituents leads to distortions of the guanidinium skeleton, The co-crystallized water molecule accept s no conventional hydrogen bonds but only weak C-H...O interactions.
