Aqueous solution equilibria have been investigated for the systems 6-c
hloropurine/manganese(II), -iron(II), -cobalt(II), -nickel(II), -coppe
r(II), and -zinc(II) by means of glass electrode potentiometry. The id
entities of the complex species formed and the corresponding formation
constants have been determined with the aid of computer analysis. By
comparison with literature formation constants for a related ligand, t
he complexation site has been proposed.
