Abstract
Pyrrole (2) was grafted onto a poly(methyl methacrylate) backbone whic h already contained the pyrrole moiety within via oxidative polymeriza tion with FeCl3 in nitromethane. The maximum conductivity of films cas t from the reaction mixture was about 10(-2) S/cm. The conductivity an d the morphology of the graft copolymers 3 depended on several effects which were studied in detail using FT-IR, thermogravimetric analysis, light and scanning electron microscopy.
