Abstract
This paper describes a method for investigating the properties of powd ered compounds using synchrotron X-radiation. The fluorescence decay t imes of bismuth germanate, BaF2, CeF3 and CsI, as well as the light yi elds of several samples of gadolinium silicate, prepared in different ways, have been measured.
