Abstract
A diagnostic method for ion minority concentrations, based on the prop agation of ion Bernstein waves (IBW), is analysed theoretically and ve rified experimentally. The results obtained are compared with those pr ovided by the neutralized ion Bernstein waves (NIBW) based diagnostic, as used in previous experiments.
