Abstract
Sprengel's deformity may be associated with absent or hypoplastic peri scapular musculature, abnormalities in the cervicothoracic vertebrae o r thoracic rib cage, the presence of an omovertebral bone, and limited shoulder abduction. The cases reported document multidirectional shou lder instability associated with Sprengel's deformity. Inferior glenoh umeral subluxation may account for near-normal abduction in the child with congenital elevation of the scapula.
