STENT GRAFT FOR TREATMENT OF AN ABDOMINAL AORTIC-ANEURYSM - LEAK DETECTED BY CT

Until recently the nonsurgical treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms has been limited, Published reports recently have described the use o f covered stents in humans with abdominal aortic aneurysms [1, 2]. Wit h the increasing acceptance of intravascular stents and the continued development of newer stent designs, interest in the nonoperative manag ement of aortic aneurysms in patients for whom surgery presents the ri sk of high morbidity and mortality is growing [3-8]. We report a patie nt with a leaking aortic stent graft diagnosed by CT.
