Abstract
For the first time the F-18(p,alpha)O-15 reaction has been studied wit h a F-18 beam at energies which are of interest to explosive nucleosyn thesis. Utilizing the gas-filled magnet technique a clean identificati on of the reaction products was achieved. A resonance with spin 3/2(+) at an equivalent c.m. energy of 660 keV dominates the yield.
