High-spin states of Sb-115 were studied by inbeam gamma-ray spectrosco
py using the Y-89 (Si-29, 2pn) fusionevaporation reaction at a beam en
ergy of 108 MeV. The experiments included gamma-gamma coincidence and
directional correlation of oriented nuclei (DCO) ratio measurements us
ing six EGO Compton suppressed Ge detectors. An intruder Delta J=2 rot
ational band has been identified for the first time and it is interpre
ted as the h(11/2) proton coupled to a two particle-two hole (2p-2h) d
eformed state of the Sn-114 core. A Delta J=1 rotational band based on
the 2p-1h, pi{g(7/2)(2)Xg(9/2)(-1)}, configuration has been extended
to the 29/2(+) state at an excitation energy of 5241 keV.
