New assignments of quantum numbers have been obtained for more than 50
levels in Si-28 between 8953 and 15985 keV excitation energy. They ar
e based on the measurement of gamma-ray angular distributions or aniso
tropies on 29 resonances of the Al-27(p,gamma) reaction and on the Mg-
24(alpha,gamma) resonance at E(alpha) = 3355 keV. A total of 15 high-s
pin states with I = 5-7 has been obtained and the spectrum of T = 1 st
ates has been identified up to 15 915 keV excitation energy and a maxi
mum spin I = 6.
