P. Figuera et al., MAXIMUM EXCITATION-ENERGY IN FUSION-EVAPORATION REACTIONS FROM LIGHT-PARTICLE MULTIPLICITY MEASUREMENTS IN S-32-58 AT 25 MEV(NI)A/, ZEITSCHRIFT FUR PHYSIK A-HADRONS AND NUCLEI, 352(3), 1995, pp. 315-320
By using two 4 pi detector systems for charged particles and neutrons,
we measured the evaporated light particles emitted in coincidence wit
h evaporation residues (ER) produced in the reaction S-32 + Ni-58 at E
((3)2S)approximate to 820 MeV. From the analysis of the light particle
multiplicities as a function of the ER velocity, we extracted the max
imum excitation energy reached in fusion evaporation reactions for the
studied system.
