Abstract
The review of the surface-sensitive X-ray diffraction methods includin g surface X-ray diffraction and X-ray standing wave method is presente d. The discussion is illustrated by numerous examples of applications of these methods in different fields of science and technology. Instru mentation and X-ray optics for realization of these methods with labor atory X-ray sources and synchrotron radiation is discussed.
