Abstract
The results for the Gordon-Haus jitter and the maximum transmission di stance in a partial soliton communication system are presented. Using partial soliton technique, the amplifier spacing can be greatly extend ed, but the system performance is limited by the Gordon-Haus effect du e to the larger amplifier gain.
