Thermally induced phase conjugation by degenerate four-wave mixing of
nanosecond laser pulses in copolymers of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate a
nd methyl methacrylate doped with rhodamine 6G in the weak absorption
region, low-reflectivity regime, is reported. The potential of the pha
se-conjugation technique for providing information about thermal prope
rties of dye-doped polymeric compounds susceptible to be used as laser
media is discussed.
