Abstract
Communication: Monitoring the formation of ultrathin films by scanning force microscopy provides information, for example, on the concentrat ion dependence of the film structure (the Figure shows micelle agglome ration from high concentration solutions to form a layer with holes) a nd insight into the process from micelle formation to structural trans formation in the films.
