H. Hofbauerova et al., SIMULTANEOUS VOLTAMMETRIC DETERMINATION OF ANTIMONY, COPPER, LEAD, AND TIN IN STEEL USING A HYDROCHLORIC ACID-ISOPROPANOLIC MEDIUM, Electroanalysis, 7(8), 1995, pp. 788-790
The problem of overlapping peaks of antimony and copper, as well as le
ad and tin, was solved by performing differential pulse anodic strippi
ng voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry in a 1.8 M HCl-80% i
sopropanol supporting electrolyte media. Arsenic (III) does not interf
ere in the alcoholic medium and it can be determined by differential p
ulse voltammetry in acidic aqueous solution. The procedure has been ap
plied to the determination of trace metals in alloy steel.
