Abstract
A bifactorial mating system, a detailed morphological description, and intercompatibility among three Tasmanian collections are reported for Conchomyces bursaeformis. Collections of Pleurotopsis longinqua from New Zealand, Tasmania, and western North America were intercompatible, and subsp. pacificus is judged to be superfluous. Collections of Pleu rotus rattenburyi from New Zealand and Tasmania were universally inter compatible.
