Abstract
The operation of 32 packed bed and cross flow bleach plant scrubbers h as been reviewed. This report covers the major areas of concern on the bleach plant scrubbers. Significant saving may be achieved by recover y of chlorine dioxide and the control of the scrubbing media, caustic and reductant residual by consistent performance from pH, ORP or sulph ide probes. There is latent potential for more cost-effective yet effi cient scrubbing of bleach plant emission.
