Abstract
The interaction of an electromagnetic wave with a noncentrosymmetric c rystal is not necessarily time reversible, and the departure from reve rsality may be seen in nonlocal (wave-vector linear) phenomena. Howeve r, relativistic symmetry with respect to simultaneous time and space i nversion is always preserved in optics. (C) 1995 Optical Society of Am erica
