Kv. Rao et al., DISTRIBUTION OF ACTIVE ELEMENTS IN BIMETALLIC REFORMING CATALYSTS, Indian journal of chemistry. Sect. A: Inorganic, physical, theoretical & analytical, 34(9), 1995, pp. 746-749
Knowledge regarding the distribution of active elements on the support
is essential during catalyst development, scaleup and manufacture. It
also gives an insight into the deactivation mechanism of the catalyst
. A simple method that involves no tedious sample preparation procedur
e, for determining the distribution of active elements simultaneously
in bimetallic reforming catalyst is described. The merits and drawback
s of such measurements with conventional energy dispersive X-ray spect
rometer (EDXS) attached to scanning electron microscope are discussed.
