Abstract
This exploratory research provided data on the incidence and psycholog ical consequences of blackouts in a college student sample. Significan t correlations were found between student's alcohol abuse scores, blac kout risk taking, and intrusiveness of stressful thoughts about the bl ackout incident. Further, men were found to be significantly more like ly than women to take risks during, and to experience more stressful i ntrusive thoughts about the blackout incident.
