Abstract
Up to 10% of neurogenic tumors in the posterior mediastinum demonstrat e intraspinal extension. Historically, these lesions have been conside red resectable only by a combined thoracic and neurosurgical approach using thoracotomy. Herein, a thoracoscopic excision of a ''dumbbell'' lesion within the framework of a combined approach is described.
