Dr. Selviah et Cc. Chang, SELF-PUMPED PHASE-CONJUGATE RESONATORS AND MIRRORS FOR USE IN OPTICALASSOCIATIVE MEMORIES, Optics and lasers in engineering, 23(2-3), 1995, pp. 145-166
The paper begins by reviewing research on optical associative memories
employing phase conjugate mirrors and resonators. Novel work on the u
se of self-pumped phase conjugate mirrors (SPPCMs) during recording to
improve holographic diffraction efficiencies for up to 24 angularly m
ultiplexed gratings is described and the first demonstration of a mult
imode phase conjugate resonator, with up to 21 modes, operating betwee
n two SPPCMs (one of which was induced in a non-degenerate manner) via
holographic gratings is shown.
