Abstract
The effect of the structure of quinoline derivatives on their corrosio n-inhibitive action has been studied in H2SO4 solution. The inhibitive action has been shown to depend linearly on the basicity of the quino lines in question and the polar and spatial effects of substituents. T he role of pi-electron interaction of azines with the metal surface in corrosion inhibition has been evaluated.
