Abstract
A method for the experimental determination of the generalized thermom echanical diagram for alloys with shape memory subjected to a specifie d strain by nonlinear radial tension and compression is proposed. Base d on the simulated performance of ring joints the method has been appl ied to the design of thermomechanical pipeline couplings.
