Abstract
A fluidized bed fermenter is used for anaerobic digestion. The influen ce of Hydraulic Retention Time, inlet concentration and degree of colo nization is investigated. The degradation kinetics seems to depend on the ratio between outlet and inlet concentration. Different kinetic re gimes are identified, showing that mass transfer in the biofilms may p lay an important role on the degradation kinetics.
