Is. Cho et al., CHEMOSELECTIVE HYDROGENATION OF THE DOUBLE-BOND OF VINYL EPOXIDES WITH HOMOGENEOUS PALLADIUM AND IRIDIUM CATALYSTS, Tetrahedron letters, 36(34), 1995, pp. 6009-6012
The selective hydrogenation of the double bond of vinyl epoxides is ca
talyzed by either the species generated by treatment of the binuclear
palladium complex, [(Bu(2)(t)PH)PdPBu(2)(t)](2) with oxygen, or by the
cationic iridium(I) complex, [Ir(CoD)(PPh(3))(PhCN)]BF4, to produce t
he corresponding saturated epoxides at room temperature, and with good
selectivity.
