Abstract
In this article we demonstrate the immunocytochemical localization of nitric oxide synthase in non-synaptosomal rat brain mitochondria and r at liver mitochondria, using a monoclonal antibody directed against th e endothelial form of nitric oxide synthase. The possibility that nitr ic oxide synthase located in mitochondria is involved in the regulatio n of mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation is discussed, (C) 1995 Ac ademic Press, Inc.
