Abstract
1994 was an outstanding year for powder metallurgy (P/M) with record i ron powder shipments. Developments in powder; equipment and parts fabr icated by press and sinter and metal injection molding (MIM) are cover ed, along with new information on automotive applications, dominated b y bearing caps and powder forged (P/F) connecting rods. The North Amer ican industry is still experiencing corporate consolidations and this trend is expected to continue.
