Abstract
The reaction of the hetero-dienes 1 and 2-4, the bromo substituted der ivatives of alpha,beta-unsaturated crotonoyl cyanide, with vinyl ether s 5,6 and the substituted vinyl ether 7 gives the dihydropyrans and 13 in an inverse type hetero-Diels-Alder reaction. The reactivity and th e diastereoselectivity of the reactions have been studied.
