Abstract
Radiation dosimetry in the ultraviolet is described using the intrinsi c ultraviolet response of a novel thermoluminescent semiconductor-dope d Vycor glass. A linear response to 185 nm light was measured over the range 0.1 to 1000 mu J/cm(2). The long wavelength limit of the sensit ivity of the glass is similar to 290 nm, indicating the utility of the glass as an effective solar blind dosimeter. (C) 1995 American Instit ute of Physics.
