Abstract
TiO2 deactivation is studied during the gas-phase photocatalytic oxida tion of organics containing three different heteroatoms: Si, N and S. Auger electron spectroscopy is used to characterize the catalyst poiso ning species. A kinetic equation is presented which account for the ac tivity vs. time observed data. Finally, an estimation is made of the e quivalent monolayers of reactant converted prior total activity disapp earance.
