Abstract
A case of therapy-related AML with t(8;16)(p11;p13) 14 months followin g the end of anthracycline-containing chemotherapy for a nonmetastatic osteosarcoma of the left tibia is presented. The patient was successf ully treated with intensive remission-induction chemotherapy. Subseque ntly, he underwent an uncomplicated allogeneic bone marrow transplanta tion from his HLA-identical brother and is at present alive and diseas e-free 10 months after diagnosis of the secondary AML.
