Abstract
Bacillus megaterium is a gram-positive bacterium used for high level e xpression of heterologous proteins with little or no degradation (Shiv akumar et al., 1989; Vent Tersch and Robbins, 1990). Electroporation o ffers the simplest and fastest method to transform a cell (Puyet et al ., 1987). In this paper, we report the transformation of intact cells of Bacillus megaterium using the Belliveau and Trevors (1989) method w ith some modifications.
