P. Mondoloni et al., ELBOW INSTABILITY AFTER SUPRA CONDYLAR MA LUNION - A 2 CASES REPORT, Revue de chirurgie orthopedique et reparatrice de l'appareil moteur, 82(8), 1996, pp. 757-761
The authors describe 2 originals cases with a painful snap or ''recurr
ent'' elbow instability in adults after displaced supracondylar fractu
res in childhood, with a malunion in varus and internal rotation, Varu
s and internal rotation of the distal humeral epiphysis were responsib
le for instability because of elbow kinematic modification. Extra-arti
cular osteotomy fixed with a plate allowed pain relief, stability, and
range of motion improvement.
