Abstract
Mice deficient in gamma delta T cells were resistant to the gram-negat ive bacteremic sepsis caused by infection with a high dose of Salmonel la choleraesuis accompanied by impaired tumor necrosis factor alpha pr oduction in vivo and in vitro. gamma delta T cells may play a role in the pathogenesis of lethal infection with S. cholernesuis.
