Fe/V superlattices grown by MBE on MgO substrates have been investigat
ed by means of X-ray- and neutron-scattering techniques. Both in-plane
and out-of-plane X-ray-scattering experiments were performed. The res
ults show that the Fe/V superlattices grow with a perfect lattice matc
h to the substrate. The samples were examined with neutron diffraction
for antiferromagnetic behavior between the Fe-layers, but this was no
t observed.
