Abstract
A new approach for the design of welded and bolted flat heads made of composite materials is proposed. Theory of orthotropic circular plate is employed to obtain desired formulae. Design formulae are based on t he maximum radial bending stress. Tables and formulae for the design f actor C are provided for various values of moduli ratios.
