Om. Andryuschenko et al., HYPOTHALAMOHYPOPHYSEOGONADAL SYSTEM IN AS THMATICS WITH ARTERIAL-HYPERTENSION AND FREE OF IT, Terapevticeskij arhiv, 67(3), 1995, pp. 41-42
In tile origin of arterial hypertension in bronchial asthma a signific
ant role is played by tile involvement of the lungs in metabolism of s
teroid hormones. Hypothalamohypophyseogonadal system was studied in 39
females suffering from bronchial asthma alone and in 47 asthmatic fem
ales with arterial hypertension. As indicated by radioimmunoassay, til
e impaired feedback between hypothalamophypophyseal mid sexual functio
ns may be responsible for stabilization of arterial hypertension in br
onchial asthma.
