Sound transmission through viscoelastic composite multilayered plate i
nto rectangular enclosures is investigated in the low frequency range
(0-1000 Hz). In the analytical modal approach used here, several hypot
heses are presented in order to get numerical results for large system
s (volumes of 100 m(3)). The plate is either excited by white noise or
by a Turbulent Boundary Layer (TBL). Results show the extreme influen
ce of the transversal shear terms of the core and the dependence of th
e power spectral density of the internal pressure to U-infinity(7) for
the case of TBL when 50 < U-infinity < 100 m/s.
