Ss. Kathuria et Jt. Harvey, TRANSCANALICULAR REMOVAL OF SILASTIC NASOLACRIMAL TUBES, Ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery, 11(3), 1995, pp. 221-224
Removal of nasolacrimal tubes is often an awkward procedure when perfo
rmed transnasally, especially in children and apprehensive adults. We
evaluated in a prospective fashion the transcanalicular route to retri
eve nasolacrimal tubes. Overall, this technique was well tolerated by
patients and easy to perform. Tube breakage during removal may be a co
mplication.
