A non-linear deconvolution method called Biraud's method is presented.
Using shapes of positive spectra, performances and limits are tested
by numerical experiments. Results show that this treatment is adapted
to restore noisy spectral line parameters with most apparatus function
s. Comparing with other non-linear methods, we find an improvement on
reconstructed profiles. Application to plasma emitted spectra leads to
accurate line parameters restoration even with significant noise leve
ls.
