Abstract
Economic growth is frequently considered to be in conflict with sustai nable development and environmental quality. Therefore, a decision mak er needs to know how to deal with the environmental issues that come a round. This article aims to inform Operational Researchers of the poss ibilities of incorporating environmental issues when analyzing industr ial supply chains and to inform environmental scientists more generall y of the value of using OR models and techniques in environmental rese arch.
