Abstract
The paper presents an analysis of a slit in a dielectric coated ground plane backed by a 2D cavity. The cavity can be inhomogeneously filled with anisotropic material, and the dielectric coating can contain a p erfectly conducting strip. A fullwave frequency domain model is develo ped wherein finite elements are coupled with the spectral domain metho d of moments. The method is validated through comparisons to results g enerated by other fullwave models. Convergence results for different f inite element types are studied. Theoretical results for cavities part ially filled with ferrite material are generated. Specifically, the ef fect of the DC magnetic bias field on ferrite material is studied.
