A RADIAL-VELOCITY DATABASE FOR STEPHENSON-SANDULEAK SOUTHERN LUMINOUSSTARS

A database of published radial velocities for objects in the Stephenso n-Sanduleak Luminous Stars in the Southern Milky Way catalog has been compiled from the literature. Of 5132 stars in the catalog, 1072 veloc ities (or average velocities) for 864 stars are available from 49 sour ces. The full database is available on CD-ROM, and lists LS number, HD and CD cross identifications, radial velocity (RV), the standard devi ation of the radial velocity (sigma(RV)), the number of observations o n which RV and sigma(RV) are based, the spectral dispersion employed, notes, LS-catalog photographic magnitudes, a full reference to reach r eported RV, galactic l and b coordinates, and aliases for named or var iable stars.
