Rn. Schwartz et al., SPECTROSCOPIC AND PHOTOREFRACTIVE PROPERTIES OF MOLYBDENUM-DOPED BARIUM-TITANATE, Applied physics letters, 67(10), 1995, pp. 1352-1354
Molybdenum-doped barium titanate crystals have been grown and characte
rized. Electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy has confirmed the
presence of Mo5+ centers in reduced crystals that correlate with a str
ong optical absorption band at similar to 600 nm. Self-pumped phase-co
njugation and electro-optic beam-coupling measurements indicate that t
he reduced crystals are photorefractive in the visible, as well as the
near-infrared wavelength region. (C) 1995 American Institute of Physi
